i was the only customer at the cutting table waiting to have my fabric cut . There were to sales associates at the table.

One person was rolling sheer fabric back onto the empty bolt. The other sales girl was writing some information onto a clip board , recording the end of bolt fabric information so that she could roll it up , put a paper banner type label on it for the discount fabric bin. I looked at one associate then the other, stood there for three minutes, looked at each person again, and finically asked if I was invisible. The one person rolling the bolt of fabric told me that she was not on cutting and she was helping a customer.

By the way the customer was long gone. The other girl who was preparing the discount fabric said that she was not going to leave that task she was doing for so and so who I gathered was coming in later. I had to wait till she was finished. Years ago I worked at fabric stores and had the same jobs to do but the customer standing in front of you was taken care of FIRST.

This happened at the Methuen, Ma 01844 store. This is not the first problem I have encountered at this store. There are incompetent workers that have little knowledge about products sold in the store and simple ranks as cutting fabric straight.

Training should be given to all associates as to how to cut fabric straight even if it means opening up the fabric to a single layer and cutting on the grain of the material. The customer in the store, ready to purchase the product should be served before housework!

You have no right calling an adult old enough to work a "girl" when you are the one acting like a child. Asking them if you were invisible because you did not speak up sooner is childish.

Not to mention they are not mind readers. They have no idea if you are just still looking or if you made up your mind already. It is your job as an adult to approach them kindly when ready. I am sure that when you worked in a fabric store you did not have the ability to read minds, and I hope you got customers just as rude and nasty as you.

You call people who are adult's girls when you are the one behaving like a little girl.

Waiting patiently for one to be done is how an adult behaves. I agree the world does not revolve around you.

Guess what they were doing???? Their freaking JOB!!!! IT IS PROPLE LIKE YOU THAT TUIN HUMANITY FOR THOSE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

Maybe you get bad service because you're a bad customer? You call them rude names and mock their knowledge on products.

They are not seamstresses, they're retail workers. JoAnn's is a retail store, nothing else. Who cares if the other customer was gone? Maybe they put in a special order and she was fixing it for them?

You don't know if the other girl had to get that other project finished quickly. Just because you worked at a fabric store years ago, doesn't mean you know what they have to deal with on a regular basis today. You can wait.

It won't kill you to stand there for a few minutes to get your fabric cut. The world does not revolve around you.
