4 employees to run entire store waiting in line over 25 min. Noone on floor to assist customers.

Corporate needs to turn on AC. Too hot in here always!

My store is barely a skeleton crew, yet we're still regarded as the best Jo-Ann a huge metro area. Yes, we frequently have AC issues.

Our price scanners, registers and card swipes break down several times per day. We also have a broken scooter for handicapped shoppers. We put in work orders for things to be fixed, but once that request is submitted, it's out of our hands. We desperately need more employees, but 9 times out of 10 a new hire quits in less than 1 week.

It's not glamorous, it's not easy, it's difficult dealing with some customers, it's not much of a paycheck and it's very physical.

The employees are expected to work miracles and unfortunately, we just can't. We appreciate every ounce of patience and understanding.

Anonymous, has it all right. Jo-Ann corporate office has no clue how many people it really takes to run a store or that whil they sit in their air conditioned cubicles we are sweating like pigs in the stores. It is all about the money and bonuses for them while the workers get nothing but grief.

Corporate has strict payroll rules. Never enough to staff a store properly!

The A/C is controlled by corporate. They don’t give a rats *** about the comfort or well being of their employees.

It’s all about the bottom line. The district managers get a bonus if payroll is under a certain amount for the year so they never a approve for enough employees.
