I recently went to a local Jo Ann Fabrics to return some craft items that I did not need. The wait time was long and there was only one cashier.

It was finally my turn and the cashier paged a manager for my return. The manager scolded myself and the cashier for bothering her during her on call lunch time.

The manager talked a had bits of food come out of her mouth and fall on the counter several times. The manager slapped the return receipt on the counter then slammed the returns into a bin and stomped off.

I just got home from my store in Maple Grove, MN. I bought some yarn and TWO crochet hooks which were on sale.

When I got home I saw that I had been charged for 3 crochet hooks. I called the store in hopes that they could correct the issue by crediting my card over the phone for the $1.85. NOPE. You have to come back in with your receipt, waste the gas, waste your time, and stand in line again!

I have spent thousand of dollars at Joann's over the years and I'm done.

This was your clerk's error - fix it! It's not much money and would go a long way to customer satisfaction but NOOOOOOO.

You are obviously are a JoAnn employee...why don't you put yourself in the customers shoes??? Perhaps you forgot, you are in a service providing job.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO excuse for any employee to make a scene in front of others just because they KNOW they in the wrong...this a blatant form of public intimidation. I had my first ROTTEN encounter with a male employee today that I will NEVER forget. He has always displayed a condescending bad attitude especially toward older customers. I observed him give an elderly lady a hard time one Saturday morning last Spring '13.

She was simply returning a piece of fabric that was unused. She had it remeasured at the cutting table ahead of me and she also had her receipt too. The clerk that took care of us at the cutting was wonderful as usual. It was after we got to the register, when we encountered the stores TWO BIGGEST attitude problems....I just stood there wondering at what point we ended up in the twilight zone.

These "biatches" gave this lady the royal rake over the hot coals. She had EVERYTHING in hand that she needed to get a FULL REFUND, yet was treated like ***. There was absolutely NO EXCUSE for the way this lady was treated. At one point I spoke up and said, "Hey, exactly what is it that she did wrong anyway???

She had the fabric remeasured and initialed at the cutting table in front of me and she has her receipt...SO what exactly is the problem?" No answer was given...they clearly being BULLIES. Then they attempted to give her store credit...yeah can you believe that ***...she told them to refund the money to her credit card. After grumbling they relented and credited the money back to her credit card account. That alone left me despising these two @ssclowns.

The blond girl with an attitude finally quit recently but left her baitch buddy...a 20-something heavy-set guy over 6 feet tall.I had my run-in with this @ssclown earlier today. He attempted to lie and made a scene, so I lost it verbally launched into this d1ckweed. In all my life, this was only the 5th, i have become SO upset with store clerk that I verbally lost it. I am NOT tolerating being treated like I did something wrong when they failed to properly program their store registers with advertised sale prices.

I had my receipt and the flyer and I had already re-verified that I WAS IN THE RIGHT BEFORE I simply inquired to get my REFUND of over $15.00!!!! He went off with my receipt to his manager in the back, which is something I figured would happen. Also note that when I checked out a little before that, the clerk made a comment that sale items weren't all scanning properly. When he came back to me, he made ABSOLUTELY NO effort to help me at all, he attempted to brush me off and I didn't tolerate it, I stepped between him and the display, waved and said, "Follow me.".

As I continued walking the 8+ feet to the cone thread display he said, "You didn't need to push me." I kept walking and thought, "WHAT THE H%LL are you talking about," and then I ignored him. I stepped in front of the Coats Cone thread display and showed him exactly what he had just said....I picked up at least five different colors and showed him, what each one cone CLEARLY said, "Coats & Clark"...and then I reached in front of him and pointed at the Labor Day sales sign that stated EXACTLY what he had said. This SOB STILL wanted to argue with me and went to go to the "manager" yet another time!!! The whole time he kept repeating the, "You didn't have to push me." Gee if I had actually "pushed" him, you'd think I would have felt it with my left side, huh???

This guy is LYING sack of *** (I am only a little over 5 foot tall, if I had "pushed" his HEAVY 6+ foot *** frame, I surely would have felt it don't you think????) I finally just said, "Just DO YOUR JOB!" Then repeated the same *** BS LIE which made me even MADDER. (At that point I had only WISHED I had kicked him in the nuts.) I got SO fed up, I said, "You are being a baby!!! " I looked at him in front of MANY other customers with my voice raised and said, "Just DO YOUR FRICKENING JOB!!!" Then he said, "You don't need to curse at me." At that point I had been provoked enough, I told him that I had NEVER been treated SO SHI**Y in my entire life by a store clerk and I was NOT going tolerate this any longer. I the stepped forward and said, "Give me my receipt!

I have had ENOUGH of this!" I also asked for his name and when he replied, "Frank" ... I told him was calling corporate about this encounter FOR SURE!!! I was SO p1ssed I can not even describe it. I went to my car and sat there looking for the store number on the receipt.

After I settled down, I called from my cell and asked to speak with the manager. Unfortunately the manager on duty, was a youngster too. All I got was excuses and a shallow apology. I even had her attempt to defend him!

I also told her I'd like to see video evidence of my "pushing him out of the way" too. I told her I had been JoAnn customer for over 37 years and I had NEVER been treated so shabby as I had just been treated today. I got the excuse he was "normally on the craft side"....sorry, that's NO excuse for the disrespect and laziness this guy had PUBLICLY displayed. I told her that I NEVER wanted to go into that store again...

I decided when I got home that I was immediately calling corporate and filing a complaint against that store. I seriously doubt that anything will be done with this jack@***s. I ended up having to take my young son with me hours later to get my $15 refund. Fortunately I knew the older lady whose was the acting shift manager and I got my refund without a hassle.

The worst part is knowing the other staff have always been VERY helpful. I do NOT want to encounter this HORSES@***S again, so I will be driving further to go to another store be it another JoAnn OR a Hancock and/or Hobby Lobby store 45 miles away in another state. I will also be purchasing even MORE fabric via the Internet after this encounter. The fools just don't get it, it's regular loyal customers like me who help pay their paychecks...

:( I am always respectful of customer service folks because I too work in IT customer service.

Today just took the cake and I decided I wasn't tolerating an abusive lazy-@ss LIAR. The more people allow this type of behavior, the more these situations will continue to reoccur and escalate.

Sounds like the guy fell of the turnip truck or couldn't get a job at the local prisons taunting convicts and pushing his weight around. Sorry he is employeed at a craft store, of all places: where he can push his nastiness on hard working loyal customers like you.

That sucks. Our local Jo Ann Fabrics (Brunswick, GA) has nice employees but they're under-staffed.

Wait time for anything is usually long. The cashiers there give excellent customer service so that makes up for the long wait.

You must need something to occupy your time. You posted the same complaint yesterday, only then it was you were returning scrapbook supplies.

Which is it? One complaint is really enough.
