To whom this may concern,

I just visited one of your Joann locations 3340 NW 62nd Avenue, Margate, FL 33063. We all know what good customer service is and how good we feel when we get it... Unfortunately, there are those times when as customers we receive the complete opposite. I was just publicly humiliated by one of your employees and I hate to say that I believe she was a "manager"? A very nasty, unprofessional one at that. I was shopping today for my wedding supplies... One of which was for my wedding dress... (Item #0728********) I explained to "Stacy" that I have eczema / very sensitive skin, and I wanted to test out a small piece of the tape as it recommends on the packaging. I simply said if it turns out that I am allergic to it, can I return it? She laughed obnoxiously and said, "No, you can not." I thought she was joking, but after realizing she was not.. I explained, "Well I'm not going to use a lot I just want to test a small piece on my skin beforehand..." She laughed again and repeated herself, more frustrated it seemed, that she's not taking it back once it's opened. Then she said, "Why should I take it back and lose money or lose my job for you?"

What does that have to do with anything????? And for $8.99 - lose your job?? So I said, "Because I'm a customer, and this is a huge company, It's not even a sure thing I'm going to return this, I was just asking!" Then she accused me of being "dishonest" in front of a line of people!!! Saying, "Hey if you want to be dishonest and return it after you use it go ahead!" This is on the day before Easter Sunday, the store was packed and this is how she's representing Joann's fabrics??? She then said "I'm done with this conversation."

I was actually being honest!!!! And she's accusing me and shouting out that I'm DISHONEST?

At that point I was furious, embarrassed, and humiliated. I asked her for her name and I told her I was going to contact corporate which she confidently and arrogantly was comfortable with. There was another employee that came up I assume because she heard Stacy yelling at me? Joann corporate office needs to know what you have "managing" your store out here who is clearly damaging your brand equity and does not have any leadership qualities whatsoever. I've seen Stacy before here and every time I see her she's in a negative bad mood! If she's so miserable and doesn't want to work and treat your loyal customers with dignity and respect, there are tons of people that will gladly take her job, do it better, and be more accommodating. I don't need to shop there or do business with such people as long as she's working there.

When I got in my car I looked at the receipt and the back promises, If you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return it along with your receipt. A full refund will be offered in the original method of payment.... I'm sure you know your return policy, but it's obvious Stacy does not.

I'm completely disgusted with this matter and look forward to a response and encourage you to follow up and investigate Stacy's performance.

If you used it, then no, you couldn't return it. It has to be able to be resold unless it was damaged.

She couldn't let you open the tape and use some of it because then it would be used and the store would lose money because they couldn't sell it if you turned out to be allergic to it. I don't know how the manager reacted, and if she truly acted that way then that is sad, but if you're just stretching the truth to make her look bad because she wouldnt let you open a product and use it on your body, then that is a terrible thing for you to do.

No store is going to let you use something on your body and then return it. It also says this on the return policy "We reserve the right to research for the original purchase, and to limit or decline refunds." Obviously Stacy knows that.

Anything returned has to be able to be resold. Are you going to buy anything that has been used.

If your akin is so sensitive, go to a drug store and get something.

they know exactly what they hire. they love the nasty managers, she just isn't nasty to customers she is nasty with employees, schedules, hours, raises ect.

So called nasty unprofessional 'managers' don't deserve to have a job as a 'manager' you can say you're a 'manager' all u want but if you don't ACT LIKE ONE don't expect me to believe you because in my mind you really AREN'T especially if you fail to behave like one!!
