I tried to place an order for store pick up. The money was taken from my visa but the order did not go through.

The customer service person said it was because I had a period after my middle initial on my credit card information. REALLY So silly me, tried again. Once again took the money but still no processed order. This time it was because there was a hyphen in my address.

Called the bank and they said I have to wait for 2 - 5 business days for the company to reverse the money back into my account. I am out $600, no product, just a lot of frustration.

I will NEVER shop at Joanne's no matter how good their prices may be. Keeping funds is dishonest.

Reason of review: Order processing issue.

Monetary Loss: $600.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

You need to contact your bank's fraud alert and make sure you weren't on a phishing site that stole your information. The way the Joann BOPUS (Buy Online, Pick Up in Store) system works, it will NOT charge your card until an employee has physically told the computer that the order has been picked up by the customer.

This happens after we have received the order and filled it, and after you've been sent an email telling you it's ready for pick-up, which can take a couple hours.

It should NEVER charge your card right away. What you've said is setting off huge red flags for me that whatever you dealt with wasn't our system.
