Joann Fabric - Manager Review from Mountain View, California

Basically the boardman store is horrible. Always understaffed because manager has no clue what she is doing. I witnessed an employee get treated so poorly im not sure why she didnt quit then and there. I feel bad for each and every one of their employees i for sure wont shop and support that store ever again.

I know worst manager in the world at the Coon Rapids MN location. The Man needs anger management classes.

Loves to make employees and customers feel ***.

Loves to belittle people in a crowd. Is just outraged if you don't know a answer and you will be on his list.

Didn't stop the shoplifter. He asked to see her bag and grabbed the bag when she ran.

It is all on video.

This is not a liability issuer in the state of Missouri. Just a poor policy decision by a company that makes a lot of them.

for years it has these same problems and getting worse. poor layout of store. totally dysfunctional. cut table always in way of walkways. inept slow employees. ugly cheap fabrics and disorganized. removal of clock long time ago, not good, customers want see time. *** bathroom key on long yardstick...germs. no need to lock door, bathroom far from street, not getting homeless people. *** candy and *** at cashier line. dumb cashiers ask "are you on our mailing list?" this is so outdated to ask. *** the coupons. just mark your items are true price. fabric prices increasing outlandishly. fabric choices decreasing outlandishly. parking lot dysfunctional, causes accidents and jams - move the cement blocks, no need for them as there are thick bushes and wall preventing cars from hitting store. people hate shopping here.

Agreed, you say "for years it has these same problems" then stop going. If you keep shopping there and giving them your money you are keeping them in business and preventing them from seeing there is a problem.

Did it occur to you that maybe you and a handful of other people are complaining about these things. Being you dislike the store so badly, why do you keep going there?

I don't keep going to stores that I don't like.

You talk about the cashiers being dumb, inept, etc., but you aren't real smart either because apparently you don't know how to capitalize, and you have really poor grammar. Before you criticize others, make sure your own door step is clean.

So you expect a retail store to write down your purchase and hand write a receipt and purchase slip? This has not been done since the corner drug store in the early 1900's.

To want a store to manually write down your purchase because the power goes out in completely unreasonable and a perfect example of me-first attitude.

Even mom and pop stores don't do that. And how are they supposed to give you your change when they can't get the registers to open because they open ELECTRONICALLY!?

Canvas Review

The customer service here is lacking just to warn you. I promised I would hope my mom out by picking up some canvas she put on hold at an art supplies store on Odana Rd in Madison,WI, but she forgot to tell me the name of it. So I called a few stores asking about it and the lady at Joann Fabric was very rude, terse, and unhelpful. Everyone else was very happy to help.
