Went to the Redmond, Oregon store was told I could use the coupon for Michael there. great they had one this week for 60% off of 1 regularly priced item, but when I went to pay for the item I chose I was told by the cashier that she wasn't sure if Michael sold that item.

She asks me if I know whether michaels sold it. because she didn't know I couldn't use the coupon. I could only use the 40% off coupon that Joann's was offering . this is not the first time I have had problem with Joann's honoring there coupons.

Gee, what is the use of having store coupons you don't honor or coupons that can't be used for many of the things in your store.

Needless to say I did not buy any of the items I had in my cart, decided instead I would buy them someplace else. I go to Joann's less and less now because if there practices.

the employees at the Wellington, Fla store do not have any knowledge of sewing, so its hard to get any answer from them. they are so useless. i will buy everything online from now on.

They work there they help you find what you need but they can't tell you how to do it that's your job. Service is horrible in Falls church, Virginia. Long lines, , the mployees at that store do not have any knowledge and it is hard to get any answer from them.

Also they are SO rude, especially the cashier girl , she is so impolite and unprofessional. I will buy everything online from now on.

I was in Jo-Ann Fabric today on Bronson Memorial Hwy in Kissimee, FL. (Store #2058). I would like to give sincere appreciation to store manager "JO" for her prompt attention to a situation that occurred earlier last week in this store. I had made a return of some items to the store and felt that I was not treated fairly with this transaction. I was very upset when I came into the store. First of all, she stopped what she was doing immediately and came to talk with me. She was very professional and concerned and put me at ease as I was very unhappy. Never buying online again

I ordered some Copic markers on the 18th and I got my order number email pretty much immediately, however, there was no tracking number as it hadn't been shipped yet. Okay, whatever. I finally received an email that stated it was out for delivery as of the 28th. However, I didn't get my shipping confirmation until March 2nd. Tracking my package, I find that it's estimated date of delivery is the 6th. Jo-Ann's website says: "6-10 business days" for the delivery to arrive. To arrive. Not to be processed and shipped, but to arrive at your door. What a lie. I will not be buying online from them ever again.

2 nearby stores closed and they moved to a supposedly bigger "better" store in the mall. What a joke. Store is big allright, but full of knick-nacks, expensive decortating stuff and other ***. The actual area devoted to sewing patterns and supplies is tiny and spread out all over the store intermixed with all of the other ***. ....no logical order. I over heard a clerk tell a woman she would need to go online to buy a white zipper! Poor woman, she must go online find what she needs and then pay shipping handling and wait for 7-10 business days ! What is so hard about keeping zippers in stock? I went to the store to buy a skirt pattern only to find the store pattern books are now tiny and there was no book for New Look patterns. Believe it or not, l was told to look for my pattern "the old fashioned way".....dig through each pattern in thr drawer to find what i needed. After sending about a half hour digging. I gave up. Next l tried to buy some corderoy or wool blend. ..even though it is fall, they had only 3 bolts of corderoy to choose from and no woolens ast all. More than 2/3 of thr fabric they have is fleece. Great for making blankets, but nothing l want. Their prices are higher than ever and many thing are overpriced even with coupons. Now that l have to drive more than 30min to get to a store that no longer caters to real sewers, has rude and *** staff, charges too much and makes you wait too long...l wont be going back.

Needed to ask an employee where to find an item. 4 people standing behind cutting counter. Had to take a number and have it announced over pa system before anyone would answer my question. Then checking out, there was a new system. Had to make a choice between two types of debit cards when I was trying to use my card as credit. Male clerk told me it was my card, not his responsibility to figure it out. Told him it was the system not the card. He rudely told me again that it was my card, figure it out. Since Jo Ann went to super stores, their service has deteriorated. I can excuse a lot but this time the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. Wont be going back any time soon

Wow. I can see why you would be angry at Brett but that other user you attacked was just standing up for you.

You had no right to attack them. They did not do this to humiliate you. They are just telling you that they noticed the same which you would know if you were not quick to jump to conclusions. After reading the reply to someone that was defending you I wonder about your own behavior at the store and if you yourself were rude.

Yeah you had every right to tell off Brett.

I don't know how he could assume that the debit card was yours since most seven year olds don't have access to debit cards. The fact that you mistake being told something you did not want to hear as rude, as well as not thinking you had to wait in line shows just how young you really are.

Really, what kind of a horses behind are you? Did you even read the review.

It had nothing to do with standing in line. There was no line, four people behind the counter doing nothing and I had to take a number to ask a simple question. I was told they could not answer a question unless I took a number. And as far as the debit card was concerned.

It was their system I was questioning. Each system works differently, I asked which of the two options I should pick and he didn't know. He threw it back at me.

Now, if you have nothing better to do than read reviews that have nothing to do with you and make rude comments then I will have to assume that you are the 7 year old. Don't bother replying because I will not respond.

She may not respond but I will you are being ridiculous. The point is that you didn't read the review at all.

She says the people were behind the counter not standing inline. They were workers. They also do that at our store until you take a number they will not answer or acknowledge you even exist and you may be the only one in the store. Not to mention if you read any of the other reviews you will see that others are also having problems with the new card readers and the cashiers have no idea as to what to do.

Her point is train your workers on customer service and your system or find them somewhere else to be. No where does it say anything about it not being her card she said the cashier did not know what to do when it asked you to make a choice and some are asking international or US.

So before you decide to be rude which she really wasn't you were! She was making a point get your facts straight before you put your foot in your mouth.

Long lines, employees incompetent and rude at Falls Church Store

What an horrible store. Lines are very long, only one employee is in charge of cutting the fabric. And employees are SO incompetent and rude. I was there yesterday with my husband. I took a number and stood in line more than 30 minutes to get 1 ribbon measured and cut with several people in line before me with so many bolts per customer that needed cut. I waited for more than 30 minutes to get 1 little item cut. RIDICULOUS THEN I waited for another 30 minutes in a line to the cashier. RIDICULOUS. THEN another 20 minutes because the young girl at the cashier desk made a mistake and could not enter my coupon, and instead charged my credit card twice. I understand that mistakes could happen. But too much is too much. And the girl did not apologize. Instead she was extremely rude and impolite. This kind of incompetent employees should be FIRED I will never go back there again. The employees are SO INCOMPETENT, RUDE & IMPOLITE, especially the young girl in charge of the cashier.

Joann Fabric Sales Representative Review

I went into the Joanne fabric in Ocala to buy a sewing machine that was on sale. The lady at the fabric cutting counter copped some kind of attitude about taking a number and all I really wanted was information.

So she kindly offered to sell me a machine...big of her. It was "special order" because they didn't have it in stock. The machine would maybe arrive at the store 7 days from today or 14 days from today but the shipping was "free" and I would still get the sale price. WOW aren't you accommodating Mrs fabric lady?

I did not order the machine from her or Joanne fabric. I went to the back of the store found it on Amazon.com for the same price and it will be delivered TO MY HOUSE in 2 days.

There is nothing special about Joanne fabric other than the attitudes! BTW I bought a couple of floral items and the cashier forgot to put the main item in the bag.

If the lady at the cutting counter stopped to answer every question without asking people to take tickets they would never get any fabric cut. It sounds like she was trying to help you to the best of her abilities and you are pretty ungrateful. This is coming from someone who has worked in retail far too long and is fed up with rude customers like you.

the only reason I go to this store is it is the only one close by, the Hancock fabrics closed, the line is always ridiculous, the cutting line and purchase line is the same, forget if you need any help on the floor finding something. I stood in line one time for 25min just to purchase supplies no cutting required.

The woman who worked the fabric counter is very rude. I blew off the first rude experience leaving it up to her having a bad day. This time I asked if the fabric she cut was in sale since it was in the sale location. She said"well it has a star in it doesn't it?" I have no clue what the star MENT, hence why I ASKED. I said yes and she said "then it is" in a very condisending way. Her name is Roz, so if you are in the Baltimore area don't expect an answer from her.

Sewing class I signed up for was useless. Instructor only knew her machine. Unable to help 4 of 6 students with different machines. Cost of class not refunded and cost of supplies not refunded. Very annoying. Tried to ask questions the week prior to class but no one answers the phone at these stores. Go elsewhere!!

I ordered cotton fabric and received fleece, and it wasnt even the same print! Customer service offered that I could reorder it, same price with free, regular shipping. The shipping is so slow I would not have received the reorder in time for christmas. And no guarantee it would be the right fabric! So no, I will not be ordering from their site again. This review doesn't even hit on the shipping problem I had.

I would really like to sy whats on my mind. You need better and more happy employees!!!

The ones you have on 23rd street in panama city florida are horrible and caught additude with customers. I went in with my child to purchase items and had a 60% off code on my phone that i could use in store..the cashier got aggrivated as i pulled out my phone at register to use it. She hurried to cash out when i explained that i had my discount. She kept grunting and you could tell she was mad.

Finally i fou d the discount thing and she got even more aggrivated when i td her to PLEASE rering so i cod use my discount.

After pissily redueing my check out i finally got out of there. But i advise to please have more happier employees that care to make sales then grumly people who can lose their jobs..

Today at Jo-Ann Fabrics, I tried to buy Scotch Tacky GLUE at 25% off because the ad said "ENTIRE STOCK Glue and Adhesive 25% OFF". I was told at check out the item (and a roll of foam adhesive) wasn't on sale because it was in the papercraft section, not the glue section.

But.... it's still glue...right? and I assume it is part of the ENTIRE STOCK. I asked to speak to a manager but was told a manager wouldn't speak to me because the item was not in the 'GLUE' section.

I am so tired of Jo-Ann's deceptive and confusing advertising. I have many places I can purchase craft goods.

If a craft store doesn't know what glue is, I have no time for them. Never again.

they have 40-50% off one reg priced item..and they take competition coupons..michaels and hobby lobby. IT WOULD HAVE SAVED YOU MORE MONEY.
